PM Dbeibeh Inaugurates the 5th Libya Construction Expo in Tripoli
TRIPOLI – The activities of the 5th Libya Construction Expo officially launched on Monday evening at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds. The event, which runs until October 20th, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, in the presence of the Ministers of Transport and Economy & Trade, the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, and representatives from participating companies.
Focus on Sustainability and Partnerships
During the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister and accompanying officials toured the exhibition pavilions, engaging with participants to discuss their latest projects. The leadership emphasized the strategic importance of this event, highlighting the need for synergy between the public and private sectors to achieve sustainable development and modern construction standards in Libya.
The Reconstruction Phase
The Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Hwej, stated that Libya is entering a pivotal phase of reconstruction and rebuilding. He noted that this transition requires the active participation of international and regional firms, particularly in critical sectors such as:
- Infrastructure (Roads and bridges)
- Aviation (Airports and logistics)
- Housing and urban expansion
Scale of Participation
Ghalib Al-Qablawi, Chairman of the organizing company, revealed that the expo features 150 local and international companies specializing in the construction industry. He added that the event’s program includes a series of specialized forums and panel discussions aimed at fostering industry collaboration.
